Hard to see, but if you look at the face of the deer he looks like 1 1/2 old. Notice the bigger bucks distance between nose and forehead. Looks longer and the spike still pretty short.

In that first pic, it looked like the 8 was scared of the spike and was in the middle of a retreit. If I werea buck I wouldn't pick a fight with him that's for sure.

Heres a few more pics of him I got the last 2 nights, check out his front legs. He is definately a unique looking buck. We will all see what he looks like next season.
