I don't know about the posted weight but he is a huge bodied deer!
|
RE: 412 pound Neb. deer
Nice buck but those guys are ugly![:o]
|
RE: 412 pound Neb. deer
This was posted somewhere else on one of the other forums here. Everybody thought it was a fake.
|
RE: 412 pound Neb. deer
The term "MONSTER BUCK" comes to mind.
|
RE: 412 pound Neb. deer
Thats one of the worst photochopped pictures I have ever seen.
|
RE: 412 pound Neb. deer
Hey Fatboy, if thats real...oh lord i need bigger arrows !:)
|
RE: 412 pound Neb. deer
Yep, some of the worst photo shop I have seen on the net. The second pic actually looks worse than the first one.

RE: 412 pound Neb. deer
Heres a little bigger pictures and a link to the forum of where one of my friends had found this deer.

RE: 412 pound Neb. deer
Those pics look real to me, just compressed to much makes them look sketchy. Huge buck, I would have to shoot 4 bucks here to equal that one.
|
RE: 412 pound Neb. deer
I also do not believe they are photoshoped.
Again I have no idea if this bucks goes 412 pounds or not as I have never saw a deer that big (400 pounds) to make a comparison:D I would assume the 412 pounds is a "live" weight as well making it 365ish field dressed? |
RE: 412 pound Neb. deer
Real or not, just proves you can never have too much kinetic energy. That is one serious deercow!

RE: 412 pound Neb. deer
That deer is absolutely amazing! Too bad none of the people have necks though? And all of them look a little deformed? :)
|
RE: 412 pound Neb. deer
Looks shoped to me!
|
RE: 412 pound Neb. deer

|
RE: 412 pound Neb. deer

RE: 412 pound Neb. deer
Can any of the experts point out exactly what we're looking for in a "photoshopped" pic? At least explain to us ,what appears to be obvious to you ,why you've come to the conclusion it's a fake.[&:]
To me , it appears to be one huge bodied buck. The weight? Who knows? If it flys around the net long enough I'm sure the story will be 600lbs by this time next year |
RE: 412 pound Neb. deer
somewhere in nebraska a local mcdonalds is tossing their leftovers outside :D
|
RE: 412 pound Neb. deer
well in this first pic. The guy looks like its someone else's head pasted, crooked onto a different persons body.
then, I don't see how he is hold that big deer's head up off the ground with just one hand on that little bitty antler in the middle (sry don't know the name of those antlers in the middle) A deer's head is heavy, especially a 412 pounder. ![]() In the second pic, I see the samething with the guys head pasted onto a different body. I also don't know what that is infront of the deer's head (3rd circle farthest right), and again, that guy ain't holden up that 412 pound deer's head with just one hand. sorry the pic messed up and my hosting site is down. But check that out on the 2nd pic. The guys head, something infront of the deer's head and he is holding it up with one hand. |
RE: 412 pound Neb. deer
In the 2nd pic the item in front of the deer's head is the bow.
I have seen the full sized, fairly uncompressed pics at another site and it appears to be 'shopped. The hunters head and hands are not proportional to the body and the head has clearly been pasted into the picture. In the 2nd uncompressed pic that I have seen the bow does not have a string either. I am leaning towards fake on this pic... |
RE: 412 pound Neb. deer
My first impression was that it is indeed a large in rut buck, but it looks balloned as if they didn't find it for a day or 2 in warm weather!
|
RE: 412 pound Neb. deer
In the first pic the head looks all wrong, but when I blew it up the hand looked right, and when you blow the other pics up they don't look that hokey either.

RE: 412 pound Neb. deer
one other thing, that I don't think anyone has noticed. I've only been hunting about 5 years but I've never noticed on my deer or others have killed that its eyes are closed when it dies. This one has them closed.
|
RE: 412 pound Neb. deer
that deer looks real to me.
|
RE: 412 pound Neb. deer
You can close them usually with your hands after they die. Most do this when they take pictures, especially if they think it will be in a magazine or on the internet. Some places have rules about seeing blood, open eyes and the tongue hanging out. As if people that look at that type of stuff have never seen a dead animal? I see worse driving down the road where I live.

RE: 412 pound Neb. deer
I've seen this deer on other web sites, where there are 5 or 6 pictures of it, I can't imagine why so much work would be put into faking a deer just to make it look heavy. Every picture I've seen looks real.
|
RE: 412 pound Neb. deer
I vote bogus...looks like it's been "shopped" to me too. :D
|
RE: 412 pound Neb. deer
Too me it also looks alittle photoshopped, what made me wonder was in the third pic on the link...
http://ehc.astate.edu/New_Folder2/Picture%20Page.htm the right side of the neck and face has a dark black line, like the person tried to make the deer blend with the back ground. It runs from the ear to the bottem of the neck. It could be a shadow, but i dont think the shadow would appear that way when compared to the shadow of the arrows on the bow. But I dont know, resizing images can do some funny stuff, just thought I'd point that out...looked funny to have a line like that there too me... |
RE: 412 pound Neb. deer
I vote real simply because the guys in the picture don't look like they'd be computer savvy enough to use photoshop!
|
RE: 412 pound Neb. deer
Looks fake to me too, especially in the second picture, follow the deers neck down against the guy's pants, the line is too precise....the deer was imposed on the picture.
I believe the deer is real, the deer is just enlarged for the pic. |
RE: 412 pound Neb. deer
He could have the deer resting on his leg Rob.
|
RE: 412 pound Neb. deer
I think they did that on a computer.
|
RE: 412 pound Neb. deer
I dont know. It looks real 2 me, but i dont know anything about looking for that photoshop stuff.
|
RE: 412 pound Neb. deer
I vote that the deer COULD be of that size but in no way 412 pounds...as someone else said it could have been dead for two days in warm weather and ballooned..if you look it does appear to have been gut shot.
|
RE: 412 pound Neb. deer
ORIGINAL: gzg38b I vote real simply because the guys in the picture don't look like they'd be computer savvy enough to use photoshop! |
RE: 412 pound Neb. deer
