thanks everyone for the excellent feedback!
I do catch myself holding my breath at the moment deer come into view--i don't know why i just do until it registers in my head to breath and calm down.i am wearing pretty heavy clothing as i hunt in central minnesota and i do think that is part of it--but the ability to keep myself calm just isn't there.when i draw my bow i draw straight back without pointing to the sky--so i didn't feel that the draw weight was too high.i think it's just a combination of the rush and trying sooo hard not to make any noise or movement that when the moment of truth has come and gone i'm actually physically and mentally tired!i'm in my fourth year bowhunting and still get flustered just like it was the first time.thanks for the input everyone--you all made very good points.
