Great time just after a rain...got to be there during the rain in order to be there just after it stops. I have seen some of the biggest bucks (for me) during rain or JUST after it stops. If it is a downpour I still may go but I prefer to take rifle/shotgun in that case.Late one August I glassed 4 bucks playing in a sweet potato field during a severe thunderstorm (I was in my truck). They did not pay the storm any attention and sometimes it would come down so hard I couldn't see more than 100 yds. in the field.

As long as it isn't pouring then I usually see quite a bit of deer. I also have had good luck after a hard rain by still hunting around bedding areas.

I work outdoorsand if the weather is such that we can't work and the season is on, then I'm hunting no matter what the weather is!
