That deer is absolulty huge! what a bummer that he recked the hide for the mount but it shouldnt be to hard to find another hide.

If it where me I wouldn't get a new cape because Iwant my mounts to be of the orginal deer. I think I would go with a european mount or something like that if a fudged up the cape.

strange as it sounds, my neighbors boy did the same thing to a doe a few days ago. freaked out she wasn't dead and did her in with a pocket knife. he swears she tried to bite him, ('daddy, she tried tobite me')but i think she was trying to get air. he'll never live it down.

Have you got any info on the greenscore for that badboy? Lots of mass and point but he has a tight mainframe

Nope...I haven't heard anything yet about a score. Like you said, he's not much in the spread department. I'm guessing he'll go in the high 170's to low 180's.

He is a very nice deer, and I hope the guy who shot him is not a poacher.

I would let the deer die or kill it with another shot, but not cut its head off, way to ruin a nice mount!!
