Nice buck and good story behind the score. Wish I was sweaty right now but it's 3 degrees with 4 inches of snow. Really glad I'm done. Again congrats on the harvest

Obviously...you're happy.
Obviously...we're happy for you.
More Obvious... you calculate the deers live weight.

A couple things.
1) Sounds like you're doing too much chopping and lane clearing
2) If you're hunting deer, hunt deer. All this squirrel hunting is not going to help
3) Sounds like you're tromping all over the woods hanging, moving and clearing stands. If you'd spend half the time floundering around stinking things up you'd have better luck.
4) If you keep doing it the way you do we won't see you for another 25 years.
5) The deer wasn't coming to your Tinks 69 stink. He was just headed that direction. Leave the pee at home.

Thanks to everyone for your supportive responses!
Let me try to answer a few questions:

I haven't been to the drive through safari, but my buddy had a Giraffe (??) take off the side mirror of his blazer!

Hunting in Forsyth, Guilford, and Caswell Counties. This deer came from the Forsyth/Guilford border.

I honestly think EVERYTHING I HAVE was rattling when that buck stopped in front of me....not just my knees!!

Yes, we weighed the deer before gutting it.....sort of new to this, so not real sure how to report the weight, etc. I would argue that I never did enough chopping lanes and moving stands....I just went out to a "good" tree and hung a stand. Not much time to spend in the woods untilrecently! Now that I live near some viable land, I won't continue to hunt "half way"....that's the whole point!! I agree that the deer wasn't coming to the Tinks....but he sure stopped and gave it a big whif!!

YEP....deer here in NC don't get too big! The biggest one (by far) that I've ever seen shot in NC weighed 211 lbs.

Yep.....waited long enough, and now that I know what to do and where to do it, I plan on getting an extra freezer!!!

Thanks again everyone for your replies....and good huntin'!!!!!!!!!!!!
