A friend of mine, who hunts some super sweet property arrowed this buck a few days before the 1st IL gun season. He was borrowing my decoy, and just after daylight he had what he said was a 140 class buck come in and he shot and nicked a branch and missed the deer. He said he got down recovered his arrow and decided to reposition the decoy a bit. Said he got back in his stand and hadn't been back up but about 15 min when he saw a tree thrashing around about 40 yds away. He looked over, and there was the double drop thrashing the tree. He said the buck would rub the tree, look over at the decoy, thrash the tree, look over at the decoy, as to say hey buddy this is how you do it. Then the buck kind of circled the decoy a bit putting him into range, where my buddy made a perfect shot.
