In my state you can hunt with a crossbow during late archery. By the time late archery rolls around the weather is very cold. It hard to pull back that bow with so many clothes on. That why I thought about getting a crossbow. They look very expense I never shot one I dont know anything about them. would it be worth spending the money on one. It would give me the chance to hunt a few more weeks.

You're the only one who can decide if it's worth spending the money on a crossbow. How much is an extra few weeks of hunting worth to you, moneywise?
I've got a cheapie Barnett Wildcat that I use to chase rabbits around, when I don't want to use a shotgun but do want toplay with somethingother than a bow. If I were going to shoot a deer though, I'd definitely wantthat deer within 20 yards. It's accurate enough to shoot further, but I question it's power beyond that.
Like everything else, the higher up the price scale you go, the better they are.
