About 35 individual days in the field. Not necessarily full/whole days, though. This would include my short morning and afternoon forays. Got to pay the mortgage! .

RE: How many days did you bow hunt this year?
first year in 20 bowhunting, saw about 50 deer the first 2 weeks shot at 2,missed ,and hit the third a big buck but looked for 2 days and could not find him, lots of blood and half a arrow. I was in the woods about 50 times, most after work and every weekend for 12 weeks, my wife can`t wait till jan31 so i will be home every weekend when she wakes up and be home when she get home from work. I got 3 deer with a muzzleloader but none with a bow, but I have 2 weeks left and I will bag one

Our bow season here, in Ontario, starts on Oct 1st and runs thru Dec 31st, except the two 5 day periods where the shotgun/rifles & muzzleloaders kick in. I would say during the bow season I would have sat in stands about 35-40 times or there about.

NOT ENUF !!!
Sept 11 put a big hamper on things for me (gaurd duty). I did get 2 weeks off in august for a float trip (caribou). Spent 3 days hunting in Mn, shot 2 deer. Was hoping to get back up north for bou after oct 1 to see if I couldnt herd a biggun into my cab and pen him up in the condo but that was a no go, uncle sam prevailed. I did call in a bull moose, never saw much but dang did he get ticked at me....definatly was within shooting range however the thick alder/young poplars made visibility very poor. Great grouse hunting though, saw more then a few there. Also have called in 7 fox this year, personal best. Still learning however, when I see them I can get them to come...if I dont see them my odds are VERY bad LOL! Hopefully this year will be a different story. Looks like I am headed north for a photograph/black bear spot-stalk hunt. Fall for elk (if drawn), mulies, sheep, caribou and what ever else I can figure out...possibly a moose hunt if time prevails....Unlike normally though this year was a great success even with the limited time in the field. Your company can and will ALWAYS make or break a hunt. This year I had 2 of my old bow buddies with me, shot a deer with one of them, dang near did with the other one. Met some great folks and did a float with them...spent a good amount fishn with them also. Wish I had taken more photos though. Being capt of a raft and taking photos dont go hand in hand!!!

2 weeks vacation, plus every Saterday, and I am lucky enough to get in an hour or 2 depending on the time of year before work in the mornings. I useualy wait for blackpowder for my morning hunts, just don't have time for tracking, and the weather is so warm during bow season You need to take care of the meat quick!
