RE: Good Hunting Chair
I've got a small one of those nylon folding chairs that was mentioned, and it works pretty good...my outter layer is always fleece, so it's quiet. I also have a little tripod thing that's similar to that, but without a back rest. It was a gift. It fits in my backpack, and is super light. I stitched some mossy oak fleece on it because it was red. I keep them in my truck in case I decide to hunt from the ground...really nice if I go out with my shotgun during gun season.

I use what I call a camping chair.... It's the one's you see at ballgames, etc, that fold up and into a bag..... I found one at Walmart that was about half the size of the typical chair and sits a good bit lower..... May have been made for youth..... I does not have arm rests, which IMO is a good thing as it allows more movement and is easier to shoot out of.....

But I do plan on getting summit trophy chair this year to use with my Lone Wolf hang on..... I plan on taking the seat off of the lone wolf and use the chair instead.....

You know what you want as a hunter so incorporate all your idears and design one, get a patent on it and become rich.

I"ve tried a few and seems like none are perfect. I"ve used the bucket with the swivel seat and it seems decent but cumbersome. I've have some different fold ups that either make noise or just aren't right for bowhunting. I'm thinking of trying this one from Cabela's. It looks fairly portable and has a swivel seat. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat20712&id=0032809 417026a&navCount=9&podId=0032809&paren tId=cat20790&navAction=push&catalogCode=QS &rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat2079 0&hasJS=true

Aero,

I was thinking about that one myself. Thought I'd wait and see if they went on sale after the season. Pretty expensive for what they are.

Steve, yeah, I was thinking the same thing, a little pricey. The ones I've bought in the past were cheaper but I've never been quite happy with them. That one looks pretty close to what I was looking for. Of course, I'd probably buy it and find out it wasn't any better than the cheap ones!

The double bull doesn't rotate.I like the bean bag chair idea as long as it wouldn't squish all the way to the ground. I could even have some straps sewn onto it so that I can carry it on my back.
statjunk,

Although the Double Bull chair doesn't rotate, you can rotate/swivel at your waist and shoot out of your choice of windows on your blind. I have one and use it with my Eastman Venture blind.
