ADDboy, I think this buck would be measured as a typical, Beattys buck was a non typical. So it could concievably be a new WR typical (I think Mel Johsons buck is still #1) but from the looks of it I doubt he would net high enough. Hard to tell from one photo, but a huge buck any way you look at it, gotta love those downturned main beams.

The funny thing is they had no idea what they had, the dad said, "I think my son got a pretty nice buck" I THINK??? HOlY heck man! Anyway, I was going to say the same thing about Beatty's being a non-typical so it's not in the same class. This deer is awesome though, 19 yr old kid... he got that out of the way early, now what's he got to live for? LOL They don't just walk around our Hoosier state like that all the time! Did anyone hear how much the deer weighed? I'd be interested in knowing that info. Absolutely awesome...

Just huge. I called it I said the next world record was coming from Indiana. I think it was just a lucky guess. A 19 year old kid huh, well he might as well hang up the gun cause he will never top that one.

The guy in that pic is way older than 19 yrs, I don't care what anyone says, unless he has that aging disease or something. That is a GIANT buck in my opinion, not sure about the world record....you guys that say not that big must have some shetland ponies in your hunting woods

here it is, the potential world record from indiana somewhere around 220" shot by Morgantown, wherever that's at. That's all I know about it.

Oh boy... another Mitch Rompala situation here...
I don't believe the pic is fake, it looks like a newspaper clipping to me or something. I do agree it looks like a pencil sketch. The man holding the deer up is the father of the 19 year old btw.

You never want to judge a deer by a photo because they can be so deceiving in any number of ways.
That said, for what it is worthas a non-expert observation, I don't see a world record in either catagory in that photo...Time will tell...
