RE: Typical or Non Typical
I have been fortunate to harvest big antlered nontypical and typical deer. I would much much rather shoot a large typical deer, I would prefer a wide, but very high antlered 16 point, like the one hanging around here.
Good Luck This Season: Buck Magnet P.S. Only Chuck Adams can sit at home and see deer so get into the woods. =;^) |
RE: Typical or Non Typical
As long as it's venison wrapped in deer hide it don't matter. Horns make nice draggin handles tho.

RE: Typical or Non Typical
I'll take a record class typical over a non-typical unless its B&C class.

who cares LOL!
A nice looking buck is a nice looking buck...a biggun is a biggun, live life simple LOL! |
RE: Typical or Non Typical
I would like to shoot one non-typical before I`m done.

RE: Typical or Non Typical
Got a couple real nice typicals but when someone walks in the room they always look at the drop tine buck first. But, hey, any good buck is still getting an arrow!

RE: Typical or Non Typical
Nearly every antlered deer I've ever seen in the wild had a normal typical rack. For this reason, I've wanted to take a BIG nontypical for years and would choose that one if faced with a choice. A BIG 10 point typical is also on my list---I've killed everything between 2 and 11 points, except a nice 10.

RE: Typical or Non Typical
Typical since I have yet to mount a whitetail on my wall. Still waiting for something as impressive as my caribou and moose.

RE: Typical or Non Typical
Non-typical....They have a lot more character. 2 10pts might look alike, but it would be hard to find 2 non-typicals that look alike.
I would like a 3rd main w/ tines. |
