Typical or Non Typical
 

Would you rather shoot a typical or non typical buck? If it is non typical will you lower you size of a shooter?

I would rather have the typical. But I can't lie and say I wouldn't shoot a non-typical.

I have been fortunate to harvest big antlered nontypical and typical deer. I would much much rather shoot a large typical deer, I would prefer a wide, but very high antlered 16 point, like the one hanging around here.

As long as it's venison wrapped in deer hide it don't matter. Horns make nice draggin handles tho.

Got a couple real nice typicals but when someone walks in the room they always look at the drop tine buck first. But, hey, any good buck is still getting an arrow!

Nearly every antlered deer I've ever seen in the wild had a normal typical rack. For this reason, I've wanted to take a BIG nontypical for years and would choose that one if faced with a choice. A BIG 10 point typical is also on my list---I've killed everything between 2 and 11 points, except a nice 10.

Typical since I have yet to mount a whitetail on my wall. Still waiting for something as impressive as my caribou and moose.

Non-typical....They have a lot more character. 2 10pts might look alike, but it would be hard to find 2 non-typicals that look alike.
I would like a 3rd main w/ tines.

I would like to shoot a non-typ...but don't really care. Bone is bone, no matter which way it is pointing.

i would definitely shoot either. But I like the big typical racks with one or two drop tines. I think those are the best.

I really can't decide as I would love to have both on my wall. I do have a nice typical coming in a few months so A nice nontypical would be great.

It's a lot harder to find a big typical buck in it's prime than a big non-typical buck in it's prime, around here. But my favorite rack is anything that's big-framed.

In Georgia we see typical racks all the time so I would definately say NON-typical. I am not greedy though I will take either one!

Dad asked me what I wanted - picked the Ice-cream. Then asked Little Sister (she was three) if she wanted a candy-bar or an ice-cream cone. She was smarter then me at 3 then I at age 5. Never forgot it. Same answer here - "One of each please!"

i would love to kill a nontypical buck with points going in every direction that has been a dream of mine...this yea ri found one dead on my hunting spot made me madder than hell

i do not really care. i have only killed one buck with a bow but i would really like a non typical. i think they have a slight bit more character.
but i have to agree with Btrack one of both would really be nice
