Shot a verynice buck this evening. Looks like one lung and a broken front shoulder. Been hunting him the last 2 weeks. Tracked him about 200 yards. Good blood from the start and still has the arrow in him.. I found lots of foamy blood and a few chunks of lung. He was headed for a small thicket, so I decided to let him lie until tomorrow AM. Gonna be no sleep tonight. Rut here in Southern Maryland has been awesomeover the last week. Lots of chasing and deer movement despite the full moon. I've seen about 30 deer in the last 3 days and about 1/3 of them have been bucks. Passed a very big 6 point tonight right before I shot the big one.I'll post pictures tomorrow if I find him.

Good luck in the morning. I know what you are goin through. With one lung, you're chances are better than most. You did the right thing by laying off of him, and I think that will translate into success.
