RE: Gonna be a long night!!!
Deer are much hardier than we are...their bodies are much more capable of recovering from massive injury than we are. I know of a 170 class whitetail that's in my county right now, with two pass-through wounds on it. It's been shot twice this year, within two weeks of each other, and it's been 3 weeks since the last shot. The guy that owns the land (and shot the deer) has trail cam pics of it this week feeding, and it SEEMS healthy. I know it's early to predict this buck will survive long term, but I can't think of a single place on the human body that could take 2 broadhead hits and let the person survive. :D In case anyone was wondering, the entrance/exit wounds on this buck are just a bit behind the lungs and below the spine. The had VERY good blood trail on both hits, that died out. I hope the guy gets a 3rd chance (since it's too far away from where I hunt for to ever see this buck in the woods) :D
