Default Am I over-working my stand???

Hey guys, this is my first year bowhunting. I've been gun hunting for over 25 years, somy season is usually only a few days. Since October 1st, I've been to the same stand almost every weekend. Have had some good action with plenty of deer and one doe harvested (first bowkill!). I passed on several other does and a few small bucks. But it seems that the action has slowed down somewhat as the weeks pass. Is it a coincidence, or am I stinkin up the place every time I go out and the deer are avoiding my old trusty spot? I have only been "busted" once by a little guy who came in to smell the gut pile of the doe, just as I snapped a pic of him.

I think it is pretty tough to "over hunt" a stand. The group I hunt with hunts mainly the same stands, and we shoot multiple p+y bucks almost every year.

Since you are only hunting the weekends, I would say no. If it is a good spot stay there because the big boys are starting to roam around big time looking for action. Some of your local heard might be avoiding you but new ones are roaming around every day.
