RE: HELP!!!

Honestly i think I just hit him high in the leg or low on the chest. There was nothing on the arrow. Didnt smell or anything. He really didnt hunch up, what i meant is that he flinched or however, its hard to describe. I know what a gut shot looks like and it wasnt one. I still couldnt find him but Im going out every evening this week and hopefully I'll see him again. Next time I'll win our battle.

BTW I've seen this buck numerous times but was never able to get a shot. He has always spotted me or came from down wind and caught some of my scent. This time he had no idea I was there.

I agree on the gut shot. If he hunched up it's a gut shot. You can bet the farm on it.

I think you may be right. Sounds like you may have given him a
non vital flesh wound. Especially since there was no foul material
on the arrow.

Every one is saying gut shot. I have never shot a deer and the arrow was clean as a whistle. So how did the arrow come out clean if I gut shot him.

if theres nothing on the arrow and no smell, sounds like you grazed him. but I would look a lil more tom. you never know!! good luck.... if you dont find him keep an eye out for a deer with a bandage......LOL, kidding
