In Aug for 2 weeks 7 bucks were in back of my house in a bean field of an evening. End of Oct I put one of my students in a stand and scent pushed the biggest one to him(perfect 10 point 160 class). The student was detected and the buck took off. I haven't seen him since. Last week a neighbor saw a smaller 8 point(130 class)breed a doe in the same area. Sunday and last night I saw a 140 class 10 point with a doe. Both of those bucks were with the big one in Aug. So do you think is he still there? I unfortuneately work so I have to maximize my hunting time even though it is all close to home. My idea is that he is somewhere else otherwise he would be seen with a doe by now. OR Do the two smaller ones wip him in a fight or could he have does of his own? Just wondering what others think. PS I know he is not dead as no one else can hunt him unless I know them.

Ours are breeding now and held up.Once breeding starts it's hard to see one unless you get out and drive around.I saw a good buck out with his girlfriend this morning in a open field.Gun season opens on Tuesday here so it's only getting tougher.[&:]

There smart, didnt get that big by making the same mistakes twice. If you dont see any of them by the end of the season try to get some deer drives (pushes) going with sme buddies. Maybe you'll kick up a big one or 2.
