VERY NICE BUCK. is that predator camo that u r wearing. looks pretty good.
Todd,
Yep, that's Predator Fall Grey... I'm sold on its ability to break up the human outline; don't think I've ever seen anything as effective while on the ground looking up at the height a treestand would typically be...

I see the broadhead did quite a job on him--what B/head did you take him with?
ampahunter,
It was actually a Cabela's Lazer Strike 100-grain -- but it has to be made for them by Rocket Aerohead; it's the exact same thing as a Rocket Sidewinder, just the ferrule is a different color; otherwise someone would be suing somebody! The Cabela's version is $15.99 if you buy two packs vs. $23.99 for the Rockets.

Coug,
Good to see you back on the board! Where ya been hidin' lately, anyway?

David,
He's barely two and a half, and he's a deer-lovin' fool already! He's watched so many deer hunting videos it ain't funny; when he turned two he was walking around the house drawing an imaginary bow, and it took us a couple days to figure out what he was doing. He's went througha couple toy bows already, and he had to take his latest one in the restaurant we went in after church today! Oh, and I'm extremely proud that his third word was "deer"...

Congrats MQ1! Nice deer and definately a hunt that you will always remember dearly. I had a rough hunt the other day, I had my climber strapped to my back and mybackpackwas strapped tothe climber. While crossing a creek I slipped and got a wet leg, water in my boot and my backpack fell off the climber and started floating down the creek! After I fished the backpack out I walked back to the truck, changed clothes and headed back out with no gloves, facemask, scent lock, binocs etc... since they were all soaked. My hunt just got worse as it went but I won't bore you guys with the rest of the details, and needless to say, I did NOT have an uplifting finish to my hunt like MQ1 did!

Only in a bowhunter family...only from a bowhunter. Good to know he's got his priorities in order.[8D][8D] First word was probably food and the second was probably Mommies food.[&:]

Congrats! Way to stick with it, even when things got tough.
