Has anyone ever noticed all of the inaccuracies in Bambi? My daughter watches it 2-3 times each week. It get old seeing just how bad it makes us hunters look. Shooting at anything and everything that moves.....shooting out of season.

For years after seeing Bambi, my daughter always said "I'll never eat deer meat!" At the same time, I was feeding her venison steaks, venison roast, venison chili, etc. She never knew it was venison. A couple of years ago, we were sitting at the dinner table having venison steaks wrapped in bacon. My son looked at her and said "Hey, I thought..." I gave him the eye of death by a million ants. He shrugged his shoulders and continued "I thought you were never going to eat BAMBI!" She pushed back from the table and walked away. My boy reached his fork across and took what was left of hers. I went to her room and told her she had been eating venison for more years than she had been watching Bambi. Didn't help and she quit eating anything I cooked. More for the rest of us I guess.

My children like the movie Bambi, but they also like grilled "Bambi burgers". I'd let Elmo walk, but I'd let one fly 80 yds if I thought I could hit one of the "WIGGLES"!

Don't forget starting forest fires. Yeah the hunter was to blame for that too. Nothing new for Disney though.

My brother and I have always been into hunting ever since we were little. I have my father to thank for getting me into the sport. Watching Bambi with my brother even when we were little just made us laugh. Kinda sick huh? hahahah...we still joke about it till this day. 30-06 + Bambi=Good Eating.
