YUP, they're definitely on the prowl. Had a nice 6 pointer come under me this AM. BUtterball fat for sure. I could smell him in my tree. He worked a scrape and then came to visit. It was SOoooooooooo tempting. Saw another group of 2 and another of 6 or 8 with one buck(I THINK) but they were too far out. Len saw a bunch. He hunted yesterday and saw another bunch and a couple buck. I had the one in my yard when I was raking leaves. They're everywhere. HECK, even NYbowhunter got one.[8D][8D][8D][8D][8D] You didn't think I was done with you yet did you Ken? But I am proud of you. Nice buck.

Heck ya, there on the move! Scrapes popping up all over the place. Buck fever setting in.

We still have a good month down here before things even remotely get interesting....

I saw a 150 class 10 pointer with a doe this morning. I've seen 3 145+ deer tending does in the last 3 days. The peak of the rut is here in west central Wisconsin...VERY exciting. I crawled to within 75 yards of the big 10 pointer this morning before they made me out.

[8D]I had a feeling you may be needling me from time to time for awhile.

I'm itchin' for Saturday morning... that's for sure! I'm pumped, can't even think straight...

I try to resist getting too pumped for any one day hunting. Everytime I expect too much I end up seeing NOTHING. It seems like the more casual I am the better the hunt turns out. Me and Disappointment....were pretty tight.

Now THAT is a statement a hunter can relate to. I might have to steal that one.[8D]

Noproblem....kick me...I probably won't even feel it I am SO used to it.
