Well, it's been a few weeks, the Nat Resources police werenotified and sheriff contacted - no bodies have been found (yet)... Check out this picture of twotrespassers walking thru a deer feeding station in the woods on a friend's farm here in So MD. Hard to figure out, shirt & tie, in the middle of the woods, 9 pm. I can hunt this and the adjacent farm and it would give me willies to see these guys coming into view. It begs the question of why after seeingthe flash, theydid not damage the camera? I wonder if that is apistol in the blue shirter's hand. Any theories?

You're pretty lucky to still have a camera. If they were up to no-good, they'd have taken the camera, so I'd presume there's a logical explanation.

Is this near a developement? I know a friend of mine had his by a housing developement and the woods seemed to be a good crosiing from the developement to a strie mall?? Then once a few kids noticed the camera they mooned it....LOL... It is still odd. .things that make you go HMMMMMMMM.

A pistol maybe in his pocket? Them look like cop clothes to me at least that what the detectives around here wear. We had a report about unusual activity in a patch of woods. Turned out to be hunters and the reporter wasn't aware of hunting seasons and just noticed different vehicles in a out.

They are land developers and just got the permit to level the place and build an old folk's home. They don't care if you got a picture because then they will be familiar to you when they have you arrested for trespassing......or maybe everything I just said is completely made up.

What if they were doing something majorly illegal? Tense situation. What if they are not familiar with GameCameras? What if they seen the flash and immediatly ran?


I know I would run if I seen a camera flash in the middle of the woods when I didnt know about GameCams

What is unusual is they are wearing a shirt with a collar and a tie.
The only time people wear a shirt and tie in Nanjemoy is for a funeral or Wedding and then it is a white shirt.
Nanjemoy is one of the remotest parts of Maryland I know. My mother still has her house on Rt 224 off of Liverpool Pt. Rd.
There is apost office, a general store and a firehouse. They don't even have a fire hydrant.
I would venture to say they are tax revenuers looking for a whiskey still. [8D]

I have the smae problem. We have a picture of coon hunters trespassing on my land. The fisrt time they stole the film.

These guys aren't locals - as Sideways noted, no one wears ties around here except to weddings and funerals. The farm is near Doncaster State Forest, and it is off the beaten path -there is no good (?) reason to be in the woods at night. It is unfortunate, but Charles Co is one of the last undeveloped areaclosest to Washington DC, and has often been used for a dumping ground for stolen cars and bodies - thus the paranoia...

Well, from what you have said about your location, the time of the picture, area, etc. And also Knowing what I know from the college experience, this is a good time for the 'smokers' if you get what I'm saying.

So, here is my guess considering all of the circumstances - time of year, clothes, time of picture, no flashlight, and theZiploc bag in the blue shirt guy's hand -- looks to me like some city boys grew some smoke on your hunting grounds, and you busted them!

One thought voiced by myfriend on hearing of all your commentary- hehad a 2+ acre area bulldozed in a remote spot of his 5-yr old clearcut of some 50 acres, for a wildlilfe plot this year. (The bulldozer access road to the plot is off thepublic road and is padlocked; the feeding station is between the State Forest and the foodplot and is accessibleby an ATV track. There is no road connecting the two, but they are not far apart).The plotwould certainly look out of place on aerial photographs/surveillance, suddenly appearing out of nowhere. Maybe some law enforcement types decided to see what was growing out there(and accordingly would not be inclinded to destroy the camera). The law-types are kept busy looking for "cash crops" growing out in the wilds this time of year. Anyway, the Dept of Nat Resources policelaughed at theirchoice of clothes when shown the photograph, anda Sgt said he would investigate.Will post any updates...
