To make a long story short, I saw a nice buck this weekend but had no shot. Here is the deal, please let me know what you would do.
On stand 10 yards frpom the field edge. A buck walks down the a broken downrock wall seperating the field I am facing and a second field 65 yards to the left. He gets to the woods line and visits a scrape and turnsto his right(away)from me and walks along the woods line and just keeps walking away from me. I grunt he stops looks back and just keeps going. I grunt some more and he doesn't even pay attention.
How do I hunt this buck? There is no tree big enough to hang a stand in shot of the scrape and the woods drop off 5 yards from the field edge where the scrape is.There is a hoe in the wall for him to get throughabot 6 feet wide and the wall is only 1-2' high See Diagram below. Thanks Folks

Find a spot inside the woods just off to the side of the trail he is using to go through the wall, and set up a blind. Hunt it with the wind in your favor. Remember, the first time you go after him like this, will be the best so make sure the conditions are in your favor, and tag that deer. Good luck.

Blind may be hard. The woods drop of real fast and I may be only able to set up about 5 yards from the field (I'm afraid of getting picked off). How about putting a drag in the scrape and pouring scent on while it is in there and dragging it into shooting range before hanging it? Will this work?
