Default Neighborhood deer.... weird little buggers

You should have seen me today. I was out in the back yard. I had blown up a big pile of leaves in front of my truck. I was kneeling down stuffing them into bags. I caught movement out of the corner of my eye. I turned and there's this absolutely gorgeous little 9 point(about 16 inch spread) standing there staring at me from a measured distance of 9 steps. I almost had a panic attack. I didn't know if he was lookin for food or saw my butt and was in love. He took a couple steps and looked away. I stood up. He looked back and chewed away. He started walking down my drive way. I ran in the house to get my wife. When we got back out side he was standing by my mailbox with a car stopped 10 yards from him waiting for him to cross the street into my neighbors yard. Weird deer. I wish the camera had been handy. Here's where I was kneeling and the deer was this side of the multi limbed red maple.

Sure it was.....I had to put up a chain link fence to keep'em outa my yard. Landscape isn't cheap. Of course before I did I'd go for my bow and my wife would just freak out. That woul've been a great pic for the wall with all the fall colors. Maybe next time.
