I know I am not alone here guys. I filled my buck tag the other day, but I am still anxious as ever to get back out early Saturday monring for a posisble doe. I sit here at work, in meetings, on conference calls, etc...just thinking abou taking a few shots Friday afternoon to make sure my shot placement is where it should be, packing my gear into my truck and trying to get to bed and to sleep fast. I invision Saturday as sunny and pleasant from sunrise to about 9AM...I expect to see deer, and lots of them. I cannot focus on work...my mind is at home or in the woods right now.
What do you guys do to remain focused and get thru the work day? I know I ain't the only one who goes thru this every week!

This may be shocking to some or all of you, but my job isDaycare Provider, so I'm home all day, every weekday. Now to your question, I wait until Friday to do all my scent free washing, get all my things organized for my hunt, and spend time reading these messages, I also sneak in some hunting shows when the older kids are napping.

Thats the benefit of still being in college. No class, so i get through the day by actually hunting it. Im not sure im going to like graduating in a year. It will cut down a lot of time in the woods.

Just think, while you guys are out hunting tomorrow I'll still be working!
I usually only get to hunt on Sunday.
I work Tuesday thru Sat in Wisconsin
Sat night, after work,I drive 300 miles home to Iowa, usually get home about 10pm
Hunt all day on Sunday
I have Monday off but if I'm lucky I'm cutting up deer. If not I'm running errands, paying bills, raking leaves and all that other fun stuff.
I leave early Tuesday morning and drive 300 miles back to work.
So quit your whining

Saturday belongs to my wife and doing the laundry... (I need to get all my hunting clothes done too, so I dont mind, heheh...) Biggest reason I'm not hunting in the am is because I blew out of work today at 11 to hunt til dark. Lots of movement at dusk but no shot opportunities. LOTS of does, I didn't make out one rack out of 15-16 deer I saw. I'll check this place again in a couple days. I have stuff coming up at work, but I have capable people to handle it while i sit in a tree...
I think I'll check out a different place sunday, bc the place I was at today its illegal to hunt sundays....
