Got my second with the bow! Quickest hunt ever!!!
So this hunt was pretty much the best thing ever! I got to my ladder stand at 4:00pm. I then put out 2 pads soaked in Tinks69 around my stand and i got ready to climb up.I climbed to the top of the ladder, fastened my harness to the tree, sat down and pulled up my bow. I didnt even have my bow on my lap for 30 seconds, and I hear crunch crunch crunch. 2 button bucks are walking from my left, towards the field on my right, on the heavily used trail about 12 yards in front of me. I let the first nubber pass because he seemed very cautious. He actually stopped and was looking at me for a while, but never identified me. The second button buck followed close behind him, and when he walked behind a small tree i quickly stood up and drew my bow. Right before he walked into the field, I stopped him with a bleat from my mouth, and i let the arrow fly.(I arrived at the bottom of my stand at 4pm, I shot him at 4:10pm...awesome!)I hit him a little farther back because he was quartering away from me, and i got a pefect 12 yard double-lung pass through shot...it was awesome. He ran off into the field and fell over 36 yards from where i shot him. The first buck which was in the field this whole time actually went over and was checking out the deer i shot. I waited about 20 mins for the deer to leave the field because I dind't wanna spook him at my stand, and then I went and recovered my deer. He's nice and small and should defintely make for some good eating. The pictures aren't loading for some reason. For my first post, my pic loaded no problem...this time they aint loading...any help?...o, well. -Chris-

Haha. I got no clue. I just happend to get to my stand in the nick of time. If i had gotten there 5 minutes later, they would have been in the field already and would have ran off when seeing me walk in. Got verylucky i guess! [8D]
