Thanks guys , the reason for the high stand was thatI needed to get high enough to see the river ahead ofme and the fields behind me . It was hung for scouting but it ended up being right on location . The mule deer were traveling down the river and I wanted to see where they were crossing to get to the fields and low and behold , they came right to me . Mule deer don't look up like whitetails will and 20 feet is plenty good but sometimes you just have to do what you have to do .
