did u remember to draw your bow back straight and anchor like you were going to shoot a squirrel in the tree right in front of you at 20'? From there, bend at the waist to make sure that you are not changing your anchor point. That could have been the difference |

I suggest practicingfrom an elevated platform. Then you know what to expect when it comes crunch time!!!

Don't overlook the possibility that you dropped your arm at the shot to see teh arrow hit. It's possible and results in very low hits.

The farther away the deer is standing, the higher you need to aim.
Aim higher next time. LOL - Just Jerkin' your chain - Like the rest of the guys said, practice shooting at various odd angles, steep shots from elevated platform. Steep downhill shots. A Pendulum Sight would probably help you out as well. |
