Got her, 1st deer w/bow,thanks all!
Went out this AM to the same spot where I missed yesterday. I was on the ground sitting in between two oaks waiting for them to come in to eat. At 8:50 two does walked out in front of me. The wind was in my face so they didn't wind me. They were in a pasture the oaks border in sunlight and I was shaded by the oaks. The canopy is pretty thick so it was dark where I sat. I drew on one doe, she was about 15' in front of me quartering away. How she didn't see me with no cover is unbelievable. She had her head down browsing I drew and let 'er rip. I watched her run about 40 yds into the pasture, make a small circle, and then lay down. She never got back up.
To everyone that ever helped this rookie by answering questions or offering opinions,(solicited or not),I offer my deepest thanks. I don't know if I could have done it without ya'll. At least not in my first year. My signature has to be changed now! I hope the pics post OK , If so you will see the exit hole I aimed for!
