Thanks all~~ I'm trying to swing a full body mount, but I know I don't have the money. I was thinking of asking the local bow shop where I bought my bow if they would pay for half of the cost in exchange for them being able to keep it in their shop for 6 months to a year. Sound like a good idea??? If they won't pay for half of a body mount I will just get a shoulder mount and get the rest of the hide tanned. Thanks again. I have learned alot from all of you.

Wow! What a gorgeous buck! That rack has alot of character. Congratulations! This was a first bow kill, and second buck ever? Most hunters will never take a deer like that in a lifetime. Ya done good.

Your buck is more than likely a once in a lifetime buck. Being a taxidermist I would give a lot to have a chance at killing a buck that looked like that. Although you stated you might not be able to swing the full body, don't bargain shop for the cheapest guy. Taxidermy is like most things, you get what you pay for. An animal of that quality deserves the best.

thats a great story...nice shot!...to me the rack looks like genetics...but thats still a great buck! i hope the buck ive been seeing does the same thing....but where my stand is i found 3 small rubs nothing that i think came from him...hes 4 1/2 this year and i seen him in velvet weith 2 months to grow and he was a wallahanger...thats the coolest deer i actually like the rack!
