It Took 4 Years
#1
Yesterday was the first day of ARCHERY season here in PA. This is my 4th year out and I finally took one with a bow. 10 time cooler than with a gun, and 5 times cooler than with a muzzelloader.
Lots of practice, scouting and patience finally paid off with a nice buck. I still could not keep my heart from pounding and I did hit him further back than I would have liked (I will work on that with the next one). We did find him in about an hour from the time I shot him (went downhill of course), THANKS to the help of my friends.
What a great experience to share with others.

Congrats. Give yourself a pat on the back from me. I've bowhunted since compounds became legal here in Ga. since the early 80's and have killed alot of deer with the bow since then. I still get the rush when a deer is spotted and is fixing to give a shot. When you loose that feeling then it's time to give up bowhunting, but I just cannot see how anybody can ever loose it.
Congrats again...
