I'm interested in buying on of them, probably the orginal. Question though, I know you just turnit upside down the back over again to use, but is there a way to disable it?

Yeah, you put a piece of tape over the vent hole.

There's a hole in the bottom of the can that unless your finger is over it, it won't make the sound at all. So you can use it as many times as you want, and then take your finger off the hole, and it's silent.

Primos "The Can" and "L'il Can" come with a small piece of tape on the bottom hole. That enables the unit to make the doe bleat sounds. You can just remove the piece of tape to disable it from making sound. When you want to make the doe bleat sound, you cover the hole on the bottom with your finger.
