Default Tasty morsels...

Sunday morning I made the decision as this 2nd year buck approached my mock scrape. The 6 and 8 points I've been watching get another year to grow while this guy gets some garlic and butter. Here's how it went down.

Sunday morning 6:30a.m. I freshen a scrape 15 yards from me with "Active Scrape" and then I drizzle some "Tinks 69" on nearby limbs for scent travel. I then nestled into my ground blind under an apple tree in a fence row. At 6:45a.m. the nicest 8 I've ever seen came directly to the scrape. He was moonlit in the darkness so I admired but passed. 7:30a.m. a doe and fawn stroll past me and meander on by me. 7:45 this buck, who I've watched for 2 weeks, stepped out of the woods and into the winter wheat field I am watching. He slowly heads towards my scrape. At 50 yards he stops and stares daggers at me. 15 minutes later he slowly makes his way towards me. At 25 yards he heres something and looks away... I draw... He heres my arrow on the rest and snaps his head back at me. Too late. My Hoyt Vortech sent a Carbon Express tipped with a Montec G5 right through his pump station. 60 Yards later he expired. This is my first bowkill from the ground. It's all good!

Tasty morsels night!

Thanks! Uponfield dressingit, I saw that I severed the heart in half with my Montec G5. I was using Montecs last year as welland did the exact same thing on a doe. This year was a pass through and last year I hit the opposing shoulder.
