So I watched the weather report lastnight and it called for rain all day today so I decided to stay home. When I woke up at about 9 am all I saw was sunshine. Lookes like someone needs to go back to weather school. Since it was to late for the morning hunt I decided to wait until about 1 to hit the woods. By the way this was my first time out this year. So I get to my tree and crack....I step on a branch. I hear some movement and look up. 75 yards away I see a buck walking away. Atleast I didnt spook him to bad. I never saw him run at all. So I waited about 10 minutes before I hook up my climber to the tree. I make it half way up and I drop my glove. Well I wasnt going back down to get it so I finished my climb up the tree. After two hours of nothing I decided to make some noise with my can call. Not 2 minutes later my doe came in. Once she was 10 yards out I pulles the trigger. Thwack. She circles 40 yards out and lays down pretty hard on the trail she walked in on. No tracking. I sit in my stand and look at her for 15 minutes then recovered her.
I took a pic but don't know how to post it so at least you got the story.

I almost forgot to mention I used a Horton Legend with 100 grain 4 blade Muzzy. Complete pass through. This was my first deer not taken with a gun also.
