RE: Mathews??
Yes, they are worth the money. They are very comparible to several other types of bows on the market such as Hoyt, High Country, PSE, and most other high end brands of bows.
For comparison sake, I looked at a SQ2 in Montana that was priced at $599. In the Cabela's catalog, the Buckmaster G2 retails for $499, The PSE Nirto UI goes for $599, PSE Firestorm for $499, Eclipse SLX for $549, and the Oneida Black Eagle for $599. These Cabela's prices are probably the same or lower than any price you would find in an archery pro shop since they buy in quantity with discounts, especially with PSE.
The SQ2 is one of Mathews higher end bows, and I've heard of the other Q series being that price, sometimes lower, sometimes higher depending on the shop. The Mathews bows aren't over priced, and you do get your moneys worth.

RE: Mathews??
Mathews makes nice bows I own 2 they happen to be expensive also there are other companies that make quality bows also and if you are looking for the most bang for your buck you might look at martin or a hoyt magnatec I think these are some of the best value bows out and they are of good quality also

RE: Mathews??
I've got a Q2 I paid $575 for and a FX I paid less than
$400 for. Both are excellent bows that I would buy again.
The Q2 is much smoother, but I sure like that 80%
letoff on the FX when hunting turkeys<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>.

RE: Mathews??
I love mathews bows. I own two. An SQ2 and a legacy, there both super smooth and forgiving. Up at the store i go to, we sell mainly mathews but have PSE and parker. There both great bows, but we dotn carry many of there higher end bows cause unless there buddy is just pushin a PSE, theyd rather spend that much money on a smoother bow. Im not sayin PSE's arent smooth, mathews are just smoother. :-) They might be a little pricy, but you definatly get what you pay for. Make sure you shoot lots of different types of bows cause you may end up hating one after u shoot it. Its just what you like. Make sure you shoot one though, then you'll get the bug.
