How many BUCKS can you tag in your state??
 

MN allows a hunter to tag one buck per calendar year, all weapons combined. What about the rest of you?

Here in the Crimson Tide state ALABAMA we can take a buck everyday of hunting season with a bow/ crossbow or rifle .. from Oct 15th to January 31 ...

Iowa gets 2, 1 bow and 1 gun. You can get a bunch of antlerless though.

You guys got it some good in the U.S. Here in Nova Scotia Canada you can shoot one buck, no does un less you win the doe draw which is a lottery and if you win your still only allowed one or the other.I'm just glad to get out.

Wisconsin allows one buck per hunting license. If you gun hunt and bow hunt you can get two bucks.

Same here , except that there a few special reduction hunts conducted by the state where you can take another one outside the bag limit . These are conducted primarily near urban areas and in overpopulated state parks .

Michigan allows 2 tags you can use them for bow or rifle if you buy the combo but you only get 2 unless you own land then you can apply for doe tags!

VA gives you 3 either sex and 3 antlerless only tags and then you can buy bonus tags w/ any weapon.

In my home county where I hunt we can only tag one buck. There are some counties in the state where you can tag two bucks, and to tag two bucks I'd have to head to another part of the state.

As far as does go, we can tag 2, but they can be with bow-only. We can't black powder or gun kill does this year.

i dont think buck limits matter much. i hear of too many hunters that play games with the tags. in otherwords if i have got my 2 limit for the year and my family member or hunting party has none or 1. they just use the others tag. i have seen guys continue to hunt in pennsy after they shot a buck and another guy shot 2 bucks on a drive and proclaimed to me he hasnt got a buck in years and he deserves 2 bucks because he bought so many licences and screw the state. guys in new jersey i hear play games with the bank a doe system so they can shoot a buck early. the rules only keep guys like me honest.:D

In WI you can shoot 1 with bow and 1 with rifle/muzzleloader.
HOWEVER, in the CWD areas of the state, a hunter can get 4 tags per day and shoot either sex. Starting this Thur. 10/27, is a 4 day firearm season that's EAB, and the EAB continues until the regular rifle season opens in Nov. on the 19th I believe. The DNR really kinda stuck it to the bow hunters this year by making the only time for EAB during the prime of the rut. I almost forgot to mention that when the regular firearm season opens, it goes back to either sex for the tags in the CWD areas and the season is open until Jan 3rd.

In Georgia you can kill 2 bucks and 10 does. Starts from when bow season comes in in Septembertill gun season goes out in January.

I heard that MN is going to change our lottery system to a buck tag instead of a doe tag. So you would have to apply to get a buck tag not just get one automatically. I like it. More bucks around sounds good to me;)

In New Hampshire it is 1 Archery buck and 1 Rifle/Muzzleloader buckso 2. In certain regions you can use your buck tag to harvest a doe, but it is always the first couple of days of that season.

Except a couple years ago. I hit one with my truck, and ended up getting 2 bucks that year, from the extra "Road-kill Tag", if that counts. haha
