that stupid "can" i would have had me a deer this evening,,(maybe).
i was happy that i was finaly able to get on stand this evenin, but was kinda disappointed nothing had worked my mock scrape, but that was no big deal it was just to say that i tried,i may get work latter on in the year though. But anyway it was around 6 or so and i was goin to call with the "can" one last time,,but as i was standing there lookin around to make sure nothing came in will i wasnt lookin and i all of the sudden see a doe,,it was just poof and she as there,(i can see anything comin in on the trail till they are about 20yrd from my stand). So i go to put the "can" back into my fannypack and i get it right on the edge of the pack and kinda drop it in and when it hit the bottom it just gave out enough of a "ba" to spook the doe,,so she started to look around and could not figure out were it came from,,manly lookin past me out into the field, but she did look up at me a few time but there was enough tree limbs and leaves in the way i dont think she found me. But none the less she ended up turning around and back trackin a little then headed south out and around me. if it wouldnt have been for that can i would have been able to take the shot at around 11yrds,,sayin i could have picked up bow and aimed in time, uuugh i hate when things dont go right,,,that and i think i am goin to have a bad year this year,,,so far it has been pretty bad,,BTW that is the fourth deer to have walked in on that trail while i have been on stand that has gotten away scott free,,although i did draw on the first three that came in,,but i was not thinkin and turned the other way when i heard leaves cracklin,,they came in behind me,,when i finally go turned around and got bow and drew they where quaterin away at 27yrds and did get broadside till 50..so far not a very good year,,,is any one else havein probs like this???? or is it just me

Thats what its all about! Gotta love it.
Each time you make a mistake you will learn. I love to be out there learning every bit of info I can. Each time you "muff" the hunt is that much more ready you are for the next one. Good luck!
