How long will the meat be good?

Hey guys and gals, I shot a doe tonight right at dark. Followed an excellent blood trail for about 60 yards into a super thick plum thicket. This thing is so thick you can barely get through on your hands and knees, let alone in the dark. I'm super sure that she bedded down in there and died. The only problem is that is is about 50 yds x 50 yds and our 3 flashlights ran out of batteries, and the lantern ran out of gas. The lows are in the mid to upper 60's tonight and the highs in the low 80's tomorrow. I don't get off work til 10am. Would you eat the meat, when we get her? I'm kind of nervous about it. And also is there any way to tell if it is bad by looking? Thanks everyone.

I wouldn't eat the meat, personally.
The deer still has it's guts in it, the lows at night are in the 60's, and the highs during the day being in the 80's... I wouldn't trust it.
If you can get someone out there for you at first light, I think you'd be alright. But not getting out there until mid-morning? No way.

If your search tomorrow starts at 10:00AM you're pushing the limit, with the temperature being what it is. What can make matters worse is, if you punctured the gut. Nevertheless if the meat's gone you will get that unpleasant smell, and will see some signs of the meat turning 'green'.
Sometimes you can some pepperettes out of it when the meat is at the border line.
However you should at least make the effort to find the deer--you owe that much to yourself--I would sneak out of work a bit earlier--if you can find her by 7:15- 7:30 AMand get the gut out of her immediately then the meatshould be fine. The presenttemperature isn't in your favor, unfortunately.

Get that hyde off ASAP and then you'll know.Get some good batteries and go back now and/or call in sick in the morning to better your odds. Keep us posted. Thanks,
