Best sounding grunt tube?

I was wondering which grunt tube you folks think is the most realistic sounding?

RE: Best sounding grunt tube?

Rod Benson , hands down. Small company that makes a great grunt tube. Most realistic and versatile call I have ever used.

I am not familiar with the Rod Benson.I will have to check it out.I have used The True Talker for many years. It is the best that I have ever used.It is made by Hunters Specialities.

Another vote for the TrueTalker here. It does everything from the mature grunt , young grunt , to a doe bleat.

I had to wait for somebody to post the name of it, because I don't remember what it is,but the best sounding one I have heard is the True Talker. To me it actually sounds like a deer, as opposed to the others, which when you blow in them, you hear the reed vibrate (not realistic).

thought of gettin' the true talker but opted for the knight &hale grunter plus it also sounds similar to the true talker but smaller and has the hardwoods camo pattern. not that it matters or anything but man is that thing purdyyy, u know us hunters always got to be stylish for the woods season!

I have had my true talker for 5 years. My father as bought at least 2-3 new calls every year. I told him several times that he only needs one if he buys a true talker. Guess what last fall he bought one and now it's the only thing he carries.

I love my true talker but the guts fell out of it [:@]I couldn't believe it. I called a 150 class in from about 125 yards with it. He no longer sneaks around the woods. I am going to buy another one of them.

True talker all the way. Best grunt i have ever used, the only one i have successfully grunted bucks in with.

Steven McBee 08-11-2009 12:36 PM

true talker, best one i have ever used

mohunter82 08-11-2009 01:19 PM

wow wonder if anyone likes the true talker? i may have to add that to the arsenal. personally i like my MAD growler. but also like my hands free grunter.

deerhntr1969 08-11-2009 03:59 PM

true talker for me

IA Buck Hunter 08-11-2009 03:59 PM

True Talker.... Kust kiddin, have never used it or heard it. I use a buck roar I think it's from Primos. Sounds pretty good to me.

Rickmur 08-11-2009 04:19 PM

I just let loose with a long beltch. Sounds good to me:happy0157:

stabnslab_WI 08-11-2009 04:27 PM

I use two of them, The true talker and the buck roar!!! You must have the two with you at all times. I use the buck roar for the long range bucks and the true talker to bring them in. For pre-rut I use the true talker and the "can" together and get great action. Man-o-Man season can't come fast enough

Ooops I forgot to add the bow grunter plus by A-Way outdoors. That thing is awesome in really cold weather. They have an O-Ring you set from Mature Buck too fawn. I called one of the biggest bucks in my life twenty yards away on the fawn setting. Of course I missed high but still one heck of a call.

fishinty 08-11-2009 04:43 PM

Primos buck roar .

The Rev 08-11-2009 05:24 PM

I use my voice. I've been practicing this for years, but I also like True Talker when I have a sore throat.
