RE: Release or Fingers

i crushed some fingers on my right hand and qualify for a x-bow permit if i wanted it, so i have to shoot a release, which is what i prefer, if they outlawed releases, i would have to shoot a x-bow to stay legal, i have very little grip strenght in my right hand, the good finger shooters are amazing though;)

Started shooting with fingers 15 years ago. Tried a release once, but never could make it feel right. IMO with fingers, there's one less moving part to worry about failing or maintaining.

Same here. Some bows you can't use fingers anyway, well you could but kiss your finger tips good bye. :D

Release here but I guess it is whatever yer comfy with. I did us fingers but I find the release you don't have as much time to react to the release of the arrow. Just my opinion though.

I started with a release and find it hard to shoot fingers. Just feels wrong to me? I want to learn to a shoot recurve though, so I have been playing with it. I wish I would have learned on a recurve or long bow first, oh well.

I just have trouble getting a clean release is all.

I may switch to a backtension release on my coumpound. I am always trying something different.

I first started using fingers then went to a wrist release but did not like it so then I went to a hand held release it gives me a much better feel.

I still use fingers on my recurve tho;)

Did not vote cause you dont have "both" listed :):D
