Default washing camo

my camo seems to fade just after a couple of times being washed. i was wondering if there was any way to make them keep their color longer?

Get a non scented detergent with camo guard. I use Hunters Specialties unscented detergent. Have used it for 4 years now and my camo is still just like new. There are other brands out there, use what works for you.

Wash and rinse in cold water, no warm or hot.

Dito on the soap type, cold water and inside out. Will still fade but in a couple of seasons - more from the bsh than the wash.

All the more reason to get your camo at Walmart. The "big" shops cost 4 times as much if not more!

I would steer away from using detergent at all. i almost never wash my camo for that exact same reason and ive also heard that most detergents leave a residue on the clothes that is really visible to the colorblind animals out there. not sure on that part but i dont like my camo smellin like detergent either.

I use Sportwash , it works great , doesn't leave an odor , and fading doesn't seem to be a problem either . I wash and rinse in cold water only .

i use purex free and clear then i turn everything inside out. i also throw in cheap black towels and wash rags that i get at the dollar store they fade all on the camo and it keeps them dark. also it is good for my towels . why bath in scent free soap and wash clothes in scent free detergent then dry off with a towel washed in tide or some other perfumed soap.
