Default my buddies first bowkill!

well, I've been trying to get my buddy (second serious season bowhunting, he's 19) in front of a deer badly. every time I set him up, I get the shot. so, today, after last nights doe, I take him to the same spot I was in yesterday. we start in and there are two. he tried to stalk them, but they had us from the word go. I showed him where I shot the doe, pointed out what was a good tree with cover, said go to it, and walked about 50 yds away so I could watch some thick cover for him. I was there as eyes only unless a good buck walked out. we were not set up 15 mins, and here come a half dozen or so. I radio to him, and he says he sees them coming. five mins later, I hear a shot, and the deer scatter. he says he shot low. we are chatting when he says 'hold on'. I hear another shot that was unmistakeable. the deer was hit and hard. deer went everywhere. we get down, and the doe he missed started coming in. we meet at his tree and start looking for blood. we find his arrow and it has lung blood on it. just then, here comes yet another doe. she has us pegged, but cannot tell what we are. I side step a tree, stop her at about 40 yds and let it go. she mule kicks and bounces away, tail up. turns out I only took a few belly hairs off her. no blood. it was about 40 yds, and I shot for about 35. longest good shot I have ever taken in the woods. so I start looking for my arrow, when I come across blood. I call him up and he says, 'there she is'. his doe made it maybe 40 yds. great night. could've stayed there and shot one, but I wanted enough light for tracking. enjoy.
