Default DAMN RAIN!

Season starts here in MA a week from today and I still need to cut lanes in one stand(my fav) but the rain wont let up here. Im not a sissy I just dont want to go out there in the rain because I just got better from having strept and bronchitus for like three weeks! It sucked! Do you think it would be stupid to cut the lanes the day before the season?

Yes, you will surely alert the deer to your presence.

Too late to trim??? I am conistantly putting up new stands & trying new spots with a few of my stands. Part of that includes trimming out lanes & what ever you think will prohibit the shot. Same boat here in CT with the rain...but it'll pass right in time for the pre-rut.

To tell you the truth..@ the end of last week I was sooo sick of hunting in the heat...its gonna be nice now! Neck4752...you got time..it'll let up enough toward the end of the week so you can do your trimming. Just make sure you use gloves so not to get your scent on evreything...then again...you probably may have know this tip already. Good Luck!

Badatta,
Ya....to me lanes consist of say....2-4' generally. They can also range as small as a foot...all depends on the area. If someone is cutting 8 footers they have A LOT of work! LOL
