I was wondering how many of you guys use a bow during your rifle season? I am going to more than likely still use my rifle this year but use my bow during muzzleloader. What about you guys?

I use my bow during any legal season. Though I do have a shotgun which I take small game or bird hunting a couple times each year.

I took this buck with my bow last year on the 1st day of rifle season here in PA. It was a 6 yard shot. Can you imagine what a rifle would have done to it at that distance? It wouldn't have been much of a challenge either.

Nice buck. I would just be afraid of seeing a nice buck out of bow range and not having another chance with him.

I've thought about taking the bow in rifle season, but I opted to start handgun hunting. That is a lot of fun, and still need the deer pretty close. What can I say, sometimes I just like my weapon to go BANG!

To me, taking up bow hunting is kinda like getting a new pup that you really like but you still have the old dog that you've loved and that love won't go away even though the new pup gets a lot of attention. Having said that, I just can't wait for the thrill of another bow hunt and can't quite say that about my next gun hunt. It gets to ya.
