I am planning on hunting this evening and having a hard time deciding which stand I should sit in. I have one that is in a small patch of wood with a freshly cut bean field and corn on the other side. My other option is in the middle of a larger woods surrounded by corn and acorns in the general area.

Which would you decide to go to and why.

acorn spot. before they head into the corn to feed for the night. they should move into feed on the acorns before darkness prevails.

consider the wind direction.

Go with the acorns. Here in northern NJ the deer are loading up on acorns!

I agree with the others. If wind is not an issue then I would opt for the acorns.
