The anti's put a stop to a new bowhunting opportunity at a nearby park with a deer population problem last year. The rules were strict, down to having to cover your animal when dragging, where to put gut piles, how many hunters, reservations in advance, etc. The anti's said the DEM's method of determining the size of the herd was flawed, so they hired experts at non-lethal population reduction (and I heard that shooting does up with this contraceptive was a HUGE failure) to get a better count. What was their method? Driving around with a spotlight... They were quick to point out that DEM was flawed, and their independent results would be available in a week. They never posted their results anywhere. I asked the state's deer biologist, and she never heard from them... Sorry, didn't mean to hijack this thread, but at least you have the opportunity to hunt and prosecute the morons with firecrackers... Our hunt was stopped before it even started.

That's just not right manuman!!!
Well tomorrow night will be my last chance at thet urban hunt. We are supposed to get some rain. Maybe it will keep the folks with the fireworks away and I can actually get a chance at one.
Hey. heading down to UNC to see the women play Duke this weekend. Then next weekend is opening season here in WV

I agree with the video recorder idea,take the high road and leave it to the authorities to sort it out.Frustrating no doubt,but you nor any of us should cave in to the instant gratification option.They want everyone to think were heathens,it only serves there purpose.

that is sad that people would actually do something so ignorant. The videocamera is a good idea and you may get some hunting footage as well.
