Well after weeks of coaching my sons soccer games/practices with just enough time to occasionally squeezing into the woods just long enough to drop a bag of corn... I finally got to climb a tree yesterday. Man what a good hunt. I saw one red fox, 2 does, a couple of yearlings and button buck. I did not harvest anything, it was just nice to sit up there and watch it all. Well anyway that's my little rant (the rant of an overly busy, over work, buck fever suffering Dad).

Hey, even if you just got out for one night it sure seems like it was worth it. I haven't gotten out since opening day. I may have a chance to get out for about an hour and a half tonight and I think you just made up my mind for me.

Thats my thoughts.. I get out at 430.. Im picking up my friend's son and we are going on.. we should be on stand by 5. im hoping to see something.

It was good to be out there. I didn't get out until 5 pm and only saw one doe at about 75 yards but it was worth it just to be away from everything else.

I'm the same way. I can sit on stand for hours and see nothing but still have a good time. Just to relax and enjoy nature.

Sounded like fun

I'm glad that I'm not the only one... sometimes its just great to be in the tree. I'm hopin to be back in one on Monday. And who knows maybe that cold front will get some of the big boys movin and I could have some pics to share. If not, at least I will have had some quality tree time.

I am in the same boat pretty much. Missed the opener to coach my son's soccer game, have another game tomorrow morning to coach. Wouldn't miss them for the world either.

It's tuff being SuperMan to a little guy isn't it. But I would not trade it for any record buck. After all he's the guy that I hope to pass hunt on to...
