Where do you get your arrows from
Hello all.
Just wondering, where do you order your arrows from. Do you order them custom, or make your own. If you order them online can you provide links? CYberg |
RE: Where do you get your arrows from
I make all my own arrows...either down at the shop or at home. However, if I was going to order online from somewhere I would opt for www.edersbow.com . I have heard of nothing but positive comments about their custom arrows and the prices are reasonable as well. Haven't ordered any arrows from there myself but I have ordered other items and they are always as advertised and received quickly.

I get my arrows from a local gold tip dealer. He is really good about getting them setup perfect for your setup.

RE: Where do you get your arrows from
I order raw shafts wherever I can find them cheapest, and build my own. I try to save as much money on shafts as I can........

RE: Where do you get your arrows from
I just run down to Len's and get some when needed. In fact i gotta get some refletched soon.

RE: Where do you get your arrows from
I get mine through my local pro shop. I know the owners and that helps out w/ price a little. They do a fine job in helping me tune my bow and the customer service there is really good, so honestly, even if their prices were higher than the competition, I'd still shop there.

RE: Where do you get your arrows from
Build all of my own arrows, after I buy my goldtip shafts from my local pro shop buddy.

RE: Where do you get your arrows from
I hardly ever shoot anything but wood arrows now and make 'em up myself. Used to get arrow shafts from the local shop in Denton, but they closed down just after last New Years. I got my last couple of dozen on Ebay. Probably start ordering from Kustom King or Rogue River from now on though. Spent three days straightening and restraightening those Ebay shafts before they finally decided to stay straight.

RE: Where do you get your arrows from
I get my arrows from the local bow shop. He is a gold tip dealer and can usually get me a decent deal.

RE: Where do you get your arrows from
I do it EBAY! Some guys will cut and fletch them to your liking, but I just need the bare shafts. Just check the ads - I usually get my GT's for around 40/doz + shipping (usually cheap).

RE: Where do you get your arrows from
I really enjoy making my own.....an Apple Arrow saw, Bitz jig and clamps and the knowledge to use them is such a feeling of freedom.:D
In the long run you'll save some $$ but the ability to just make whatever you want whenever and with an attention to detail that you KNOW you'll be satisfied with is the real reason. |
RE: Where do you get your arrows from
I get mine from e-bay. I just bid on raw shafts and make my own. I like building them and it saves a bunch of money.
|
RE: Where do you get your arrows from
For you guys that buy on ebay, does it save money even after you include the cost of shipping? I have thought about this option before, so I am curious.
I build all my arrows, with the exception of cutting them. I buy raw shafts from my local pro shop. |
RE: Where do you get your arrows from
Saves me quite a bit. I've been shooting Beman matrix and the last dozen I got off e-bay cost me $85 with shipping. Last I checked at the arrow shop they were well over $100. You have to be willing to watch a lot of the auctions and wait on them. Several times I have seen a dozen shafts bring more than the shop charges before the shipping, then all of a sudden there is a batch that no one bids one. You have to be patient and I have yet to have a bad experience this way.

RE: Where do you get your arrows from
You've got to be careful about buying shafts onEbay. Quite a few guys buy several dozen shafts, go through them with a spine testerand grain scale, check them for straightness, then pick out the straightest dozen that are close to being matching shafts and then sell their culls as new shafts. They technically ARE new, but they've been picked over. If you don't mind using someone else's leftovers, then you can save some money.

RE: Where do you get your arrows from
I just bought my last dozen of arrows from a shop. I'm set for the rest of this year right now. I hope to pickup the tools to do it all myself for next year.

Thanks for all the information peeps, a huge help as always.
Thanks, CYberg |
RE: Where do you get your arrows from
I just buy them at a proshop....cut, fletched and all ready to go.
|
RE: Where do you get your arrows from
All the ones I have gotten are still in the shrink wrap from the factory. Idon't think they have been sorted unless the shop is opening them all and then repackaging them. I guess they could but I haven't had any problems with them.

RE: Where do you get your arrows from
Last year I bought a dozen Gold Tips from my local pro shop.
The guy who did my fletchings had more glue on the shafts than I think I would have and I've never done any! I think I'll buy a Blitz. In a few years it will pay for itself. |
RE: Where do you get your arrows from
Generally I buy shafts from www.arrowbucket.com or www.lancasterarchery.com
Arrow bucket usually has GREAT prices. |
