The buck is gutted out. What you see is about a8 inches long. That is what he used as access to gut the deer out. He just didn't make a huge mess of it when he gutted it out.

He knows his stuff and knew the significance when he shot it and how to care for it to remove all doubt. ( ReadWayne Zaft'sBuck's recovery)

He is the secretary/treasurer of the Buckeye Big Buck Club and I believe may have the most entries into our records program as well?

Anyhow the man is a Legend here in Ohio and does work with Primetime videos as well from his success killing huge Ohio whitetails. It's great to see this go to a guy who has worked hard for it not just another TV hunter.
