i've never had it but i suppose it wouldn't hurt to try it. so i guess i should vote no.

My dad always breads it and frys it. Best part of the deer.

I always give Davidmil 'heartache' about saving the heart and liver. My son's favorite part of the deer is the heart. My dog's favorite part is the liver. Sometimes, when I feel like sauteed heart and liver, the dog goes hungry.

Best part, IMO. I just slice it up and fry it in onions and butter. Doesn't get any better.

Can't say that I've ever tried the heart. Guess I should save the next one and try it out.

I WILL HAVE TO TRY COOKING IT WITH BUTTER AND GARLIC ME AND MY DAD NORMALLY JUST BOIL IT AND THEN SLICE IT UP AND EAT IT PLAIN

years ago we would cut it out in the field and take a bite after the kill. Now I make it up on the stove for the dog and cats

i voted yes...when i was younger and hunted with my grandpa, he would always save the heart, fry it up with onions and a little garlic, its actually pretty good.

But i dont save iton any of the deer i shoot...cant get myself to cook it up myself.

Deer heart is very tasty. Last year my dad cut it in cubes and pickled it.
